about time I posted again I was collecting money & sewing at a dance weekend, & will post pics of what I made later, but here are pics of the quilt being quilted by my musician friend Collette - between tunes! Collette at a festival a few years ago tootling away & holding Richard's double bass! She is multi-talented.

Oooh! Love that quilt pattern. I've a friend on Orkney who loves autumn leaves. Might your friend Collette tell me where to find the pattern, please? It's OK if not. I can design a block if need be.

What a balanced, beautiful fabric line, and you've made a gorgeous sewing basket and contents. Sometime I'll post a link to my Passamaquoddy sewing tool holders. (Thanks for asking about the autumn leaf quilt pattern.)

The quilt pattern came from one of our quilting magazines & Collette is scanning it for me. I just noticed the link to the Passage to India fabrics on my post with the pic of the hexagon basket & contents leads to the thread URL & not the page showing the fabric range - weird! here's the URL, check out the middle picture - www.berrimapatchwork.com.au/blog/2011/09/17/new-fabric-store-passage-india/

The quilt made from the Passage to India range looks very elegant. Thanks for posting the missing link. I don't know why things don't always work here the first time. I love the leaf quilt. It looks very "Canadian" with all the Maple leaves.

my project from the dance weekend - hand painted silk panel bought from a charity shop as a scarf! Sandwiched with fine batting & linen backing then quilted with goldy-yellow thread along all vertical lines & around all petals, stems & leaves, now all it needs is binding. The end result will be a wall panel, not that I have a space on my walls ... Attachments:

How beautiful, Sandra! You have a talent for finding things that can be reused to create artistic pieces. Maybe you will think of someone who should have this on her wall?

Oh dear, did I suggest the unthinkable? You're such a generous person, you've often made things for other people.

moi? give things away? well, I am working on 8 bibs for a forthcoming baby ... I found an old panel with each of 4 designs & lined each one with tea towels, I'll finish them with bias binding. And I finally finished my little bit of vintage embroidery - the lavender bag Attachments:
