Sandra, That is such a great idea! I wonder if Yarn bombing will show up here too?

I am at once fascinated by this and horrified when the projects are wasted afterwards. I noticed the thread at MC said the sections were to be donated as blankets.

Sandra, I googled. I was surprised to learn that there are examples of yarn bombing in Vancouver. If it's there, who knows, it might turn up here too?

Mary, The "sculpture" is amazing and doesn't seem out of place in those surroundings.
Sandra, That's an interesting looking sculpture, too. It's difficult to get a sense of scale without someone standing near it.
Is that a "child's head" against the rock in the background?

thanks for the link, maeve - it's a fascinating artwork here another pic of the twig sculpture www.flickr.com/photos/71072750@N00/8170270192/ by Karin can der Molen of the Netherlands. Clicking on my original link to Sculpture by the Sea gives a slideshow of entries this year & in past years (for when you have a few spare hours!)

Sandra, Thank you for the extra link. The beach sculpture is much larger than I'd thought from viewing the previous photo.

sandra, I can't imagine the planning that goes into doing something like this. They did a fantastic job of fitting the covering on the tank. I love the way that they made "wheels" where the wheels on the vehicle are. I found a picture here of the people who did the knitting. The article says that they started in September 2012. rags
