Hello all. It's been a while since I last posted. I can continue the narrative of my life stories with my quilt progress! Picking up with the Hawaiian Quilt hanging.........I got interrupted and have just now got back to it. I'm working on the oak leaves now and considering orhids in the corners of the "lei" (border).

In November I went on a retreat with several ladies in my Quilt Guild. I decided to work on baby quilts since I was expecting several babies in the family. I made a blue and gray one for my grandson and a pink one just because I thought surely there would be a baby girl arrival.

Next I made a blue pinwheel quilt for my niece who is having a baby boy in April.

Then I learned that my nephew and his wife are having triplets!!!!!!!!! She loves quilts and I wanted to make her a special one. So after hearing the news I promised her 3 quilts. Next we learned that she was having 3 girls. Then I learned that she doesn't like pink......at least not in the nursery. So I made 3 more quilts. (one from fabric she sent)

and her I was thinking some of my friends have lots of family quilts to make! One is finishing her cousin's quilt, planning her first grandbaby quilt & trying to start her sister's quilt.
welcome little babies to this big world, but you have (or will have) lovely quilts made with love to snuggle in.

Wow, triplets......she will be busy when they arrive! I'm with her on pink, we have two sons but if we had a daughter she would not have been dressed in pink and neither would she have had a pink room. Those quilts are all lovely, Mary! I like the colour changes in the blue pinwheel quilt.

Mary, I'm sorry, I don't know how I missed seeing your recent posts until now. It's very good to hear from you again.
The quilts are all gorgeous! Your grandson and grandnephew and grandnieces are all very lucky to have such carefully and lovingly made quilts to snuggle up in. Is your grandson in the same family as your three darling granddaughters?

Hi rags. The little boy is in my son's family. He's pretty special because he's the first boy and is named after my husband!
I didn't post much this winter because............it was so cold upstairs at the computer, I was busy with Hubby's replacement of his knee replacement, I was quilting, I was working, yadda, yadda, yadda......
I'm still healthy and anxious to get outside more. Speaking of gardening, I just received a birthday CD from Pip (I still miss her posts). It was Brn Terfel, the Welsh opera singer that I like to listen to on Pandora.

Hi Mary, I'm glad to see you posting here again. You are a very busy lady any time of year it seems. I hope that your husband's replacement knee replacement is working well for him and that he'll be able to enjoy playing with his namesake.
Wonderful that you heard from Pip. I miss seeing her online. I set up this site for her to be able to continue after the other site was shut down. I'm sad that she hasn't been able to do that.
Happy belated birthday! Enjoy your birthday CD.

Hello everybody. I'm soooooooooooo sorry I haven't posted. Same excuses as above, busy, busy, busy.........and I forgot the address for this site.
I'm currently helping with Quilt Sharing Days at three Bardstown churches. I'll have pictures in a week or so.

Welcome back, Mary! I'm happy to hear that you are well and it was just your busy lifestyle that's limited your interaction with us. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilt photos.
If you ever lose the address to this site again, please try sending one of us a PM on Mudcat? I check in there once in a while. Maeve and Sandra are probably there more often.
