Whew...........I finally got past the first page of this site!
Long story..........for over a week I could only see the first page. When I clicked on a link, any link, I got an error message. I didn't have the time or inclination to troubleshoot until today. I knew other people were posting, so I didn't think it was the site. However, I could surf the web otherwise. So finally in troubleshooting, I erased all cookies and browsing history - and it fixed the problem. I certainly don't understand why, but I'm back. Thank goodness I remembered the URL (OK a couple of tries).

I'm very happy that you know your way around a computer so well. I don't think I could have come up with that solution for you. I'm glad that you got it straightened out.
If you ever had a problem accessing the site you can PM me on the 'cat. I don't check in there every day, but I do check in fairly often.

Well, it happened again! And I couldn't get to this post to figure out what I did last time!
This time, I went to the register page, the only link that worked, and then without even registering, I backed out, and for some reason all the links worked. I posted a message to the members only page.
Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Mary, I have no idea what is happening, but I sent you an email with a couple of suggestions.
Now I'm also wondering if there might be a problem with some of the ads that Proboards puts on the pages? There might be some program that is required to load an ad which you don't have or have an older version. They shouldn't be loading ads that would do that but who knows? Since the ads seem to appear in random order you might have difficulty loading pages just when certain ads are on them?
If you continue to have a problem, and can't post here, you can contact me by PM on the Cat, or at the e-mail address that I sent you and I'll contact the Proboards people for help.
I hope that the problem will be resolved soon.
Thanks, rags

I spoke too soon. It happened again.
I think it has something to do with cookies. Long story...
When it first happened (this time), as I posted, I went to the register page because it was the only link that worked. Then when I backed out, everything was OK. That's when I posted and also sent Maeve a PM. I also saw my members only post from the last time this happened where I deleted cookies to fix the problem
Then.............the next time I visited the board, I was locked out again! In retrospect, I still think cookies had/have something to do with it.........and..........the reason it seemed fixed when I went to the register page earlier was that that was the only page I had never visited with the current cookies. Make sense? Anyway, this time I deleted all cookies and everything worked.
Another thing for us to remember. Make sure you know the URL of this site, because when you delete cookies and browsing history, the automatice fill-in doesn't work and you have to type in the complete URL. Also, it's nice to know someone's email address. Thanks Rags.
