how does img work?
I clicked on img then opened a pic on my site & pasted the URL between the icons & nuffin' happened.
So, either I go it wrong, or MyOpera doesn't allow it.
I tried searching the forums & gave up as I scrolled down a forum with hundreds of replies! I was assuming the search term 'third party links' would have been highlighted.

Sandra, I'll try That one didn't work it was this link my.opera.com/sandra%20in%20sydney/albums/showpic.dml?album=369533&picture=5377897Trying again: That one seems to work using the img tags [img]http://files.myopera.com/sandra%20in%20sydney/albums/369533/DOLLSLadies1859A.jpg[/img]
To get the URL to use, I right clicked on the image on your site, selected "view image" (might be different wording if you don't use Firefox) and copied the URL from the address field. Maybe that will work for you? Another way would be to find it on your computer and use the attachment function on a message.

Here is a paper mock up of the next quilt. I've changed the kanji tho. It will all be hand applique, finish about 14"x 28" for a wall hanging. Should keep me busy a while. www.flickr.com/photos/sorchapics/4316624267/NO idea what I will 'do' with it, but I've wanted to make it for a long time.

Sorcha, Congratulations on finishing the butterfly quilt!
The Japanese one looks very interesting. Which kanji will you use?
You must have some idea what you might do with the completed quilt? What sparked your interest in this project?

Tranquility, beauty, peace and loyalty. I don't really know, rags. I've always been interested in Japan, and I did the paper mock up years ago. Then I got sidetracked with kids, and ETC. The picture is a bastard combo of Chinese and Japanese, but the full size pattern is ALL Japanese.
I will use clamshell quilting on the very top (clouds),cross hatching for rain, with waves across the bottom.
Hell, I'll probably give it away to somebody! LOL A friend of ours is getting married in Oct, they might like it.

Hi Sorcha, It didn't make a link because you typed the dots. There is no space between them and the URL so it doesn't recognize it as a URL. I was going to make a link for you so the picture would show up here, but it says that you deleted the picture. rags

I've been building shelves to use under the stairs in the basement so that I can better organize all the things that I really should just be getting rid of. I started with 32 boards 1"x3" x 8', cut them to lengths with my radial arm saw, drilled at least two holes in every piece and screwed everything together to make one set of three shelves 3 feet long. After I took this picture I added a board to the top on each side. You can see that in the next photo. The smaller shelf is behind the other. and another set of 5 shelves 4 feet long.
In theory, I will be able to neatly store 29 boxes of the sort that copy paper comes in. The smaller shelf is on wheels. It will roll out of the way into that hole in the wall which you can see, if I can reorganize the clutter under the stair landing to make room for it. rags
