very cute
congratulations - the quilt looks fantastic as a whole & in the details.
Last night I worked thru the Doll Club competition classes & decided what I'll enter this year. Competition is first Sat in March
Stuff that is ready -
1859 Lady of Fashion my.opera.com/sandra%20in%20sydney/albums/showpic.dml?album=369533&picture=5377897 - I really must get some more pics of her. She is wearing a white silk ballgown with green lace flounces on bodice & skirt.
Jenny-clone in wedding kimono- white kimono worn for spiritual ceremony & gold kimono worn for reception my.opera.com/sandra%20in%20sydney/albums/show.dml?id=309776?&abc=&page=3&skip=40&show=&perscreen=20
3 small dolls - one needs a cloak, the other needs a layette, & the third needs Victorian underwear & simplified wedding dress. As she's only 6" tall she won't have the detail of 1859 who is 18" tall & is wearing chemise, drawers, corset, corset cover, flannel petticoat, cage crinoline, 2 silk petticoats, bodice, shirt & head-dress as well as commercial stockings & boots.
One of my Japanese paper dolls - I'm trying to chose between 3 - tho as one has a polystyrene head it's probably outside the conditions.
One of my bears - choice from 3 bears - including Marcus the dapper bear with collar, bow tie & briefcase, & Mr Bear who wears a vintage miniature photo-souvenir around his neck. my.opera.com/sandra%20in%20sydney/albums/show.dml?id=316859
A small round bag to be made from vintage Japanese silk. I have a card of old Japanese braid which might make the handle tho I dunno whether it will go with my materials. Otherwise I'll make a twisted cord from Japanese embroidery silks.
The bag is a total invention - one of my silks has lovely round motifs, 2 are the same size & I have several other silks that can line it.
I have patterns for the clothing for the small dolls.
Must be time to log off & locate & iron (& maybe wash) my delicate materials.
sandra
I've also cut out about 15 felt chrissy decorations so I'll have samples of all my patterns when I start teaching Felt Chrissy Decorations again later this year. But they are an on-going job.
