Very pretty colours, Sandra. Today was the last day of summer where I live. Several light frosts in the past week or so have left the sunflowers a little droopy and turned the leaves on my little Green Ash yellow. The petunias are hanging in, as is the neighbours' ever-hopeful "Kitty". She's trying to convince any birds who might land on the birdbath that she's just a grey rock beside it. We lost all of ours in the fire, but have allowed a few plants in this large family group to re-enter our lives this last year or two. Hoping for blooms as lovely as yours, Sandra!
Megan- Like people, they have certain likes and dislikes. If your growing conditions match most of their needs, they are easy. If not, they can be quite picky.I've been helping my mother care for a nice Christmas cactus her late friend gave her. All was well for years, until this last month or two someone else began "helping" by watering it so much it started rotting!
We're enjoying our little Meyer Lemon tree in bloom this week.

good luck with you cacti, meave. Mine has finished flowering, but I'm expecting others to take over as I had flowers up to November last year. Sunday is watering day here for all my plants, & some have suffered over the years from too much water when I don't look when I'm watering (oops). My small arrow head in the kitchen east facing window) has been looking poorly for a while with new leaves dying & which I've cut off leaving the stems ... however, the very old large arrowhead has taken over the window in east facing living room window! Spring has really sprung here & I'll be watering in fertilizer beads next week. The hoya on the sill was in my parent's garden in 1978 & is my oldest plant, & the other green plant next to it has also been around for years. sandra Attachments:

more flowers & buds! Two of my fingers are in the second pic. & over 300 pics from The Gathering. A good time was had - great music, songs, food & conversation The venue is a historical industrial site & still a working brewery, the perfect place for a session/workshop gathering. We don't have concerts for audiences to watch, everyone is a participant. Google image search of Old Goulburn Brewery. sandra (back to sorting)

What a fun place to meet! Are the acoustics good inside it?
Your cactus are doing wonderfully well.
