It's a bit of a stretch to call this a craft and it is certainly not my hobby. It is one of my projects though. I've spent a great deal of time this past week or so, removing things from my kitchen in preparation for having the floor covering changed from "kitchen carpet" to sheet vinyl. The empty kitchen is my first opportunity in 25 years to repaint. Twenty-five years ago, we still had the "harvest gold" (yellow) appliances we bought when we had the house built 43 years ago. I painted the walls yellow. Now the large appliances are all white and I've painted the room a light beige. Counter tops and back splashes are still yellow. It will be a while before I can afford to replace those. -- Possibly never will. New colour by diffuse, on Flickr Finding places to put all the items removed from the kitchen was a challenge, as is preparing meals without the cooking range or access to most things in the kitchen. It's an adventure. www.flickr.com/gp/diffuse/dtQEW0 I'm glad that I didn't have to worry about getting a little paint on the carpet. The floor layers are coming Thursday and Friday to remove and replace it. I'm glad that I don't have to do that work myself.

wot fun! I could have taken a series of photos of similar dislocation yesterday when I sorted my craft stuff. I consolidated boxes & have a garbage bag full of felt caused by downsizing 3 boxes to 1! As I'm no longer teaching craft I don't need more than 1 box (slightly bigger than a box of photocopy paper, 5 packets of 500 sheets.) I've contacted a primary school teacher friend to see if she & her colleagues want the felt & a carrybag of other craft stuff. Attachments:
