How lovely. The stitching looks perfect. I especially like the colour and the pose of the seated puppy.

I'm heading off to a festival - a DanceFest - where I'll be collecting money, watching the action in the venue, taking photos, chatting & knitting! Instead of the usual coathangers, I decided to make a rug! So bought more yarn (well, I didn't have enough of the colours I wanted to use. The rug will be a present & I needed purples, greens & whites. The Neighbourhood Centre where my folk club meets has official colours, usually represented by metres of fabric draped around the hall, & purple & white flowers on the tables. Now (eventually) the Administrator will have a rug to go with the lounge in her office! It's made on 9mm circular needles, 120 or stitches with a loop on the end of each row, using 2 or 3 balls of assorted yarns knitted together. I have some hand spun wool, mohair (real or fake), soft fluffy nylon yarn, 8-ply/Double Knitting wools & yarns, feathery yarns, fringy yarns, a fine mesh ruffle yarn I hope I have enough Good thing I have a large wheeled duffle bag as I'm carrying about twice as much wool as I would take for a weekend of knitting! Fortunately there is a small crafty shop next to the Hall, in case I need (WANT!!!!) some more yarn. Attachments:

Lovely colours and textures, Sandra. You've made a lot of progress. What size do you hope to make the rug?

Great colour choices, Sandra......will you use that ball of golden yellow? It's very patriotic - specially as the Golden Wattle is our national flower!

I still have yarns left & will be using them for coathangers, one big (heavy)rug is enough. These rugs are definitely winter projects. Attachments:

wonderful colors! I also have to do something with different colors and types of yarn. I have made winter scarves with mixing the weights etc. crocheting them lengthways very interesting ( sold at my seniors bazaars .) II would like to try making a sweater or jacket , starting at the wrist to body to wrist. I was at an Art show last night with Rags and saw similiar for $149.00 can. I should live long enough to finish all the projects I have in mind!!!

years ago older friends of my mother's generation said they would have to live to 200 to make everything they had planned!
