I tried to blow the snow over the snowbanks with the little electric blower but it wasn't strong enough.

Today was the warmest day so far this year. It was 17 Celcius on our deck,
in the shade. The letter carrier dressed accordingly:

I was surprised and thrilled to find that crocuses are
blooming along the south facing side of the house.

Two weeks later, the snow has mostly melted on the south facing side of our street, but because there is more shade on our side and because road snow was piled on our lawns, it will be some time before we'll see our lawns or even the curbs.

Progress is being made though. The towering mountain of snow is shrinking daily and areas that we kept clear are snow free and growing.
