I've tried to connect to Mudcat several times over the past two days but can never connect. Is anyone else having difficulty?
Thanks, rags

Mudcat is down for a couple of days:
I sez to Max "... Has Mudcat fainted from the heat or have you taken it offline whilst masterminding another amazing feat?"
Max sez to me, "Unfortunately, we'll be down for a day or two. Crashed and I'm out of town. Wed night or Thursday midday likely."
Whereupon mutual clarity was achieved. Less wrangling on MC by Thursday? We'll see.
Just so's ye know.

Thanks maeve. There is a Facebook group if anyone can't stand the withdrawal: www.facebook.com/groups/mudcat/Or we could invite more Mudcat friends to post here? The more, the merrier. rags

excellent idea, rags yesterday & again today I tried to look at the Mudcat page & it needed a password - I know I've seen it in the past. I guess the facebook privacy policies changed again sandra (not a member)

Yes there is a Facebook page- I don't use FB. I can stand to miss the BS nastiness, but I was working on information for a couple of music threads, so I do feel a bit antsy.

I'm guessing that the Mudcat FB page has a password to keep it "safe" for genuine mudcatters to post there? I didn't want to use facebook either, but I caved in to keep in touch with/tabs on, teen grandchildren whose parent's new wife has cut them from his (and our) life. I don't use my real name on Facebook, or any pseudonym that I use on any other website. When I identified myself to the FB Mudcat people, they accepted me. It appears that Mudcat is running well again so everyone can return there happily and you could return to working on information for a couple of music threads, maeve. I'm still wishing that we could get a few more of the friendly Mudcat posters, or Mudcat lurkers to come and join in conversations here. rags

Post by Max on Facebook today. www.facebook.com/groups/mudcat/"Big ol' storm just ripped thru my neighborhood taking down trees and ripping all the wires off my house. Mudcat down. Could be a while."

JennieG just told me - but seeing the pics of damage at Max's place makes it more real.
We patiently await Max's repairs to home & the 'Cat.
