Got the green fabric for the butterfly quilt today, not as pale as I'd have liked, but oh well. One block pieced, 7 to go......it's a half inch smaller than I planned, but considering that I started from a 2" square drawing and had to figure and make all the templates....I think I done good. It is going MUCH faster than I thought it would. Butterflies are all pieced, embroidery and quilting patterns ironed on (LOVE iron on transfer crayon/pencil!). Still need to cut and applique the black bodies and embroider the antennae before I can totally finish the top.
I decided it's break time!

This is the most challenging thing I've ever pieced, mostly due to the original size of the entire block (2" square!) and the weird shapes of some of the patches. I'm getting there tho.

Sorcha, The quilt is lovely! I love the colour combinations. to your progress photos, I couldn't access them.
Jennie, It's good to hear that you're getting the strength back in your wrist. what a long time to be unable to do such important daily tasks.
