Hi, rags. Snowflake has an diminutive body and an enormous personality. She sometimes has trouble making her way to one of the multiple feeders, but will wiggle under or climb over most of the others. We re-homed the insecure (therefore rough) rooster so she and her fellow convalescents will be safer once we return them to their flock.
The flock is reasonably gentle with her. She has the look of a half-grown chick rather than a pullet, so they mostly treat her as a chick. She still wants to cuddle under her mother's wing; rather endearing to watch but an annoyance to her mum and sister. Her voice is tiny as well.
The window garden and house chickens are indeed in our yurt home. We have a bank of six windows, four of which are large, on the southern exposure. We've also cleared out the softwood trees to the south so we have good sunlight all day when there's any sun to be seen. I am grateful.

I've deleted three of my posts with photos for privacy reasons, folks. You are not hallucinating...probably.

Maybe someone who has flowers blooming will fill in with their flowers? It's still snowing here.
