Well here it is 2013 and I am a Happy hooker again. I found this rug in a box put away some years ago ( I forgot all about it) I will try to get my friend Rags to take a pix and post it. I have another in mind for my seniors center but will have to cut the wool for it. I find hooking easy on my fingers right now .

Here is Joan's current rug. She has been winding the green yard on the large wooden needles and cutting it with a knife.

Great colors, Joan! Thanks to rags for posting the photo so we can see your new rug project. Do you find rugs-in-progress hold their shape better when you complete the border early on?

Hi Maeve, I don't know if they hold their shape better or not. I just start where the color urges me. I did the pattern in the centre next as did not know how much yarn it was going to take. I am just about ready to start another rug, just have to make up a pattern!!

beautiful colours, Joan - congratulations.
I (too) must get some pics done - on Monday - I'm a tad busy now with to much to do before Sunday.
